  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
“Building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families is central to my approach, as I believe these relationships create the foundation for children to feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. ”

I began my journey in early childhood education in 2017 and joined Kindy Patch Queanbeyan in 2025. I feel privileged to lead a centre where relationships, care, and quality early learning are at the heart of everything we do.

Working in early years education has been incredibly meaningful for me. Building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families is central to my approach, as I believe these relationships create the foundation for children to feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. Through my career, I’ve learned that every child is unique and develops at their own pace. This understanding guides my approach and reinforces the importance of consistent routines, positive relationships, and strong emotional support in helping children feel secure and confident in their learning.

When speaking with families, I explain that early childhood education and care centres complement learning at home by providing a structured, play-based environment designed to support all areas of a child’s development. Children benefit from learning alongside their peers, developing social skills, and being guided by qualified educators who intentionally support their learning.

I work alongside a dedicated and passionate team that is committed to providing high-quality care and education for every child. Each educator brings their own strengths, creativity, and experience, and together we create a supportive and positive environment for children and families.

Supporting families is a priority for me. I build strong relationships through open, honest, and regular communication, whether through daily updates, meetings, or informal conversations. I take the time to listen to families’ concerns, celebrate their child’s achievements, and offer guidance or resources when needed.

I look forward to welcoming your family to Kindy Patch Queanbeyan.

My eldest was already settled in to the centre one day a week when we had to up our days of care and send her sister too. The younger sister took a much longer time to settle in and the staff were caring, patient, and fostered a family environment that allowed the girls to spend time with each other until the younger had settled. Now we arrive at daycare everyday with smiles, enthusiasm, and excitement. Recently I have had to get some additional casual care days, and the centre staff have actioned my requests at very short notice. When I leave my girls at Kindy Patch Queanbeyan, I feel confident that they are safe, happy, well-fed, and immaculately cared for. Thanks team!

The educators are warm, nurturing, and truly take the time to understand each child’s individual needs. The environment is safe, fun, and full of learning opportunities — both structured and play-based. Communication with parents is fantastic, and I always feel included and informed about my child’s day. I’ve seen such great progress in my child’s confidence and social skills since starting here. Highly recommend to any family looking for a supportive and high-quality early learning centre.

See more Finding the right daycare for your child is a big decision, and as a first-time parent, I was incredibly nervous about sending my little one for the first time. From day one, the team at Kindy Patch has been nothing short of amazing. They’re so caring, attentive, and professional, which made the whole transition so much easier. Now, nine months later, I couldn’t be happier with our choice. The educators genuinely go above and beyond to create a nurturing and engaging environment. My daughter has absolutely thrived since starting, and when she’s faced challenges, they’ve been adaptable, adjusting her routine to suit her needs. Seeing her develop new skills, build friendships, and grow in confidence has been so rewarding. I’m so grateful for the love and dedication Liz & the team put into their work every day. If you’re looking for a daycare where your child will be supported, encouraged, and truly cared for, I highly recommend.

My son has been enrolled for about 12 weeks now and he's really getting into the swing of it. Liz, the centre manager is great, knows who my son is and how he's been doing and there are daily updates from the staff. They have also been great working with him as he has a speech delay and have been very open to having support structures in place for him. Best of all we haven't had any major illness outbreaks despite this being our first stint at day care (my son is 2).

Frequently asked questions

A centre tour is a convenient way to experience the childcare centre of your choice and meet with our qualified educators at a time that is suitable for your family’s schedule. Click here to book a tour online.

On the day of the tour, you can observe practices and interactions within the centre environment. You’ll be able to see all the rooms and playgrounds, ask the team members any questions you have in mind, and get all the information you need to make the best decision for your child.

Enrolling is simple, and our Family Support Team will guide you through each step.

First, find your local centre and book a tour so you can meet the team and explore the learning environment. If the centre is the right fit and a place is available, you’ll receive an enrolment offer for your child. If a place is not currently available in your child’s age group, we can add your child to the waitlist and keep you updated.

To finalise your enrolment, you’ll complete an online enrolment form through a secure link sent by our Family Support Team. You’ll also need to provide key details and documents, including your child’s birth certificate, Medicare details, immunisation history statement and, if eligible, your Child Care Subsidy details.

Before your child’s first day, you may be invited to attend a Stay and Play session. This gives your child time to explore the centre, meet their educators, and start feeling comfortable in their new environment. Once your paperwork is complete, your child is ready to start their early learning journey with us.

Read our step-by-step guide on how to enrol here.

Starting child care is a big milestone, and a little preparation can help your child feel more comfortable and confident.

Before your child’s first day, you can talk positively about their new centre, explain what their day might look like, and practise small routines such as packing their bag, saying goodbye, washing hands and sitting down for meals. You may also like to visit the centre with your child, meet their educators and ask our team about what to bring on the first day.

When your child starts, our educators will take the time to get to know your child’s routine, interests, comfort items and individual needs. Settling in looks different for every child, so we work closely with families to help children feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

Learn more about our Settling-in Program.

Most of our child care and early education centres offer nappies and wipes, sunscreen and hats, as well as nutritious meals prepared by our in-house cook. Some centres also provide sheets and formula, so you may not need to remember to pack them.

For nursery children, be sure to bring: nappy rash cream, dummies, bottles and teats, comfort toys or blankets, three spare outfits, spare socks and a plastic bag for wet clothes.

For toddlers and preschool or kindergarten-aged children, it’s best to bring: spare underwear, water bottle or sippy cup, sun hat, closed-toe shoes, two spare outfits, spare socks and a plastic bag for wet clothes.

Plus, anything else your individual child may need, such as breast milk, a sleeping bag, a comforter or medication.

It’s best to speak to your centre of choice for a full list of everything included.

Kindy Patch uses Xplor Home as our family communication app. It is the best and easiest way to keep track of your child’s day.

After you enrol your child with the centre, you can utilise Xplor Home to book child care days, manage your account, receive the photographs that capture your child’s learning, learn about your child’s progress, as well as keep up-to-date with upcoming centre events and important information.

If your child shows signs of an infectious illness when they arrive at the centre or becomes sick during the day, you may be notified that you need to make alternative arrangements or pick up your child from the centre and keep them home until they are no longer infectious. While we understand that this can be inconvenient, Kindy Patch is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children.

Under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), families are allowed 42 absence days per child, per financial year. These can be taken for any reason, including public holidays and when children are sick, without requiring families to provide documentation.
